About Bailey's

Bailey’s Fudge, Coffee, Desserts and More opened on October 25, 2003 in Quincy, Illinois. The store originated as a fudge shop and has grown over the past several years to include a full service coffee and espresso bar, homemade dessert items, specialty candies, gourmet foods and unique gift items. We are located at 307 N. 36th Street in Quincy, Illinois.

We pride ourselves in being a family owned business. Ruth teamed up with daughters Melissa and Becky to make her dream of cooking divine fudge for the masses. All fudge sold at Bailey’s is homemade by Ruth. Ruth loves to experiment with new flavors. It is not uncommon to find over 25 flavors of fudge in the store at any one time. In addition to homemade fudge, Ruth makes homemade desserts with secret family recipes. Customers visiting the store have the opportunity to enjoy a homemade dessert item with their coffee or espresso drink.

Many unique gift items are offered at Bailey’s including embroidered personalized TY beanie babies. Ruth loves to sew in her spare time and has created several unique personalized gifts.

Where did the name “Bailey’s” come from? Bailey’s is a family name. Ruth’s grandmother was Bertha Bailey. Her mother was Ruth Frances Bailey Clauson. Many of the secret recipes used to provide tasty treats in “Bailey’s” come from the Bailey side of the family. Ruth learned her talent of cooking from her Mother and Grandmother and therefore chose to honor them by naming the store “Bailey’s.”
